Objective:

Summary of the 2022 Fresh Potatoes Sales from January 1 through December 31, 2022.

Highlights:

Fresh potato dollar sales were up for all types except purple potatoes.
Yellow potatoes had the most significant increase in dollars (23.8%) and were one of two categories to increase in volume (8.5%), followed by the ‘all other’ category (2.4%).
All pack sizes, except packages greater than 10 pounds, saw an increase in dollars.
Volume sales of one to less than two pounds and five-pound bags increased by 0.9% and 5.6%, respectively.

Total Potato Sales: July – September 2023

Objective:

Potato retail dollar sales remained strong for the quarter from July-September 2023, up 9.5% from the same period a year ago. All categories of potatoes increased in dollar sales. Fresh volume sales remained stable compared to a year ago (-0.4%), led by increases in yellow (3.3%), red #2.8%), and fingerling potatoes (3.9%). Total potato volume sales slightly decreased (-1.7%) compared to a year ago.
