Presenters:
John Lundeen, Research Director
John possesses extensive leadership experience, with a concentration in research, business development, strategic positioning, and agriculture. His innovative leadership and team management approach encompasses all aspects of project planning and execution. As the Director of Production Research at Potatoes USA, John spearheads the organization’s research initiatives. Specific scientific endeavors within the research group’s purview include facilitating major trials for chip and fry breeding candidates. In addition, by working with the Production Research Advisory Committee (PRAC), he seeks to increase the win rate for scientific teams seeking significant funding and helps those teams communicate results back to growers. Finally, the research team assists in setting up seed trials as the first step to registering U.S.-certified seed for export to key international markets.
Alyssa Green, Research Communications
Alyssa brings a diverse background in communications, having worked with numerous agencies and corporations, including radio, healthcare communication strategy, community relations, and as an engagement specialist. She earned her Master’s in Communication from Illinois State University and held the distinguished position of Student President of the Graduate School. Driven by her passion for outreach, Alyssa excels at engaging industry members in research-oriented initiatives, consistently demonstrating her commitment to fostering meaningful connections and advancing collaborative efforts.
