From Field to Fuel Connects Creators with the Potato Story

October 28, 2026

On October 1, Potatoes USA brought six content creators together for a From Field to Fuel event, an immersive experience tracing potatoes from harvest to the table.  Through tasting, digging, movement, and shared meals, creators explored the people, versatility, and nutritional value of America’s favorite vegetable.

The experience was designed to help creators share credible, relatable stories that deepen consumer understanding and support demand for potatoes.

The day began at the Colorado State University Spur Campus with an interactive sensory session exploring flavor, texture, and culinary characteristics among potato types. A potato-forward bento box prepared by Potatoes USA’s Spud Lab demonstrated the vegetable’s portability and versatility.

Creators joined a potato harvest, met growers, and saw firsthand the work required to bring potatoes from the field to consumers.  A scenic hike reinforced the connection between potatoes and active lifestyles, followed by a chef-curated dinner in the mountains.

See the experience through the creators’ eyes:

  • May Elix, a runner and everyday athlete, who shares her running journey online, highlighted the experience through the lens of an active lifestyle.
  • Hope Brandt, a registered dietitian focused on practical, approachable nutrition, shared how potatoes can fuel everyday activities and active lifestyles.

Additional event content will be shared throughout the fall on @potatogoodness Instagram and TikTok channels.  By connecting creators directly with growers, harvest, and practical potato applications, From Field to Fuel offered fresh perspectives they can carry to more consumers.
