Export value increased for all U.S. potato types in July-September 2023 compared to the same period the previous year. Total U.S. potato exports increased 10.8% by dollar value to $607 million, and export volume increased slightly (0.2%) to 452,000 metric tons (fresh weight equivalent). Fresh and dehydrated potato exports increased in both value and volume. Total frozen potato exports for the three-month period were down 8.6% by volume, but still up 11.6% by value. Among export markets, there was a significant increase in overall volume to Mexico (29.2%), including a 48.8% increase in fresh volume.
