Jeff Jennings of Camden, North Carolina was appointed to the Potatoes USA Executive Committee on March 11, 2020 at the organization’s 48th Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado. Jennings will serve his first year on the Potatoes USA Board as Chair of the Finance and Policy Committee.
Jennings is the President at John E. Ferebee Farming and gets to work alongside his three sons and one of his nephews. He is an eighth-generation potato grower and has lived on his current farm since 1985, when his father founded it. John E. Ferebee Farming primarily produces white, red, and yellow potatoes. In addition to Jennings role on the Potatoes USA Board, he also holds the President position at North Carolina Farm Bureau and is also a member of the North Carolina Potato Association.
“My main goal is to move the Potato Industry to another level and to make sure everything runs smoothly,” says Jennings.
The Finance and Policy Committee is responsible for oversight of the financial information of Potatoes USA. The Finance Committee makes recommendations to the Executive Committee on finance and policy-related matters, including the annual budget. The Committee also oversees the audit process.
