Potatoes USA Hosts Culinary Immersion at Spud Lab for High-Volume Foodservice Operators
Potatoes USA hosted an exclusive group of high-volume commercial foodservice operators from Jason’s Deli, First Watch, and McAlister’s at the Spub Lab in Denver for an immersive, inspiring culinary immersion December 4-6, 2023.
The immersion included:
- A cooking session in the Spud Lab with Chef RJ Harvey, Director of Culinary at Potatoes USA and Executive Sous Chef Aurora Hollenbeck.
- A culinary tour at several restaurants featuring innovative and inspiring potato dishes.
- A potato grower meet-and-greet where attendees learned best practices and gained an understanding of the farm-to-fork journey of potatoes.
Promoting potatoes: Attendees left the event with new knowledge and inspiration for cooking with potatoes — supporting Potatoes USA’s goal of more potatoes, on more menus, in more ways.
Potatoes USA continues to engage with attendees through one-on-one innovation sessions and tracking future potato menu item launches. To date, two of the operators in attendance at the culinary immersion have held or booked innovation sessions.
