This fresh potato basket information is from January 2019 through December 2019. It includes potato consumer information from the annual Attitudes and Usage Study, Kantar Insights Path to Purchase Study, and IRI Unify Sales Data.

Highlights:

  • 82% of households are purchasing fresh potatoes
  • Potatoes continued to be purchased most often with milk, bananas, bread, eggs, onions, and tomatoes.
  • Baskets with potatoes in them averaged $77.94 and almost half of that when they were not in the basket
