Red River Valley Potatoes gets involved with the performance campaign
2019

Red River Valley potatoes dipped its toes in the potato performance pool and has since hit the ground running with the concept. Literally. Last year, Red River Valley started out promoting potatoes as a fuel with two separate running events in North Dakota, the Potato Bowl, and the Grand Forks Wild Hog Marathon. For both events, they utilized the What Are You Eating? branded event materials to make a bigger impression on participants. During the Wild Hog Marathon, Red River Valley potatoes did not just tell athletes about the nutritional benefits of potatoes; they also served up America’s favorite vegetable at the pre-run meal the evening before the race so that runners could experience the difference for themselves. Participation in the two local marathons is just part of a bigger marketing plan to promote “Potato Performance”. Red River Valley potatoes has incorporated the messaging into its website and social media strategy and will continue to share the story at future events.
